Old Business

Banners

We received email of banners with writing.  There was a motion to purchase 10 banners and whatever brackets are needed to get the banners hung.  This motion is on hold until the 22nd, we will receive more information on the cost of the banners and another sample with the writing in a different font.

 

501c3

Arlen will be checking with Jane Preve about the grant from Wahpeton and the 501c3 application.

 

New Business

Dinner 

It was decided to give refunds for any cancellations, of the dinner, up to the 1st of June.

 

Anniversary celebration

  • Arlen is talking to Tim Campbell about providing T-shirts to sell at the anniversary celebration weekend.
  • Tina has talked to Denise Pinkney about writing an article to put into the newspaper about the Anniversary celebration this summer. 
  • Kathy R. will contact the radio stations and TV and newspapers about advertising.
  • Westby has offered to let us use his loud speakers for the parade.
  • Fireman’s bell will be hung by the anniversary celebration.
  • Suggestions for games are… Games to Go, Water balloon fight.

 

Next meeting will be May 28, 2008 at 7 pm at the Community Center.

Fairmount Community Development Group

Present: Sandy Mahler, Tina Stiles, Deb Reinig, Kathy Rugenstein

 

Special meeting was held at the Fairmount Community center at 7 pm, to decide which banners to order for the city.

 

Decision was made to order 15 banners with Welcome to Fairmount Est. 1883 printed on them.  We will be able to order more brackets at a later date when we know how many we need.
